With a blend of humor, sharp analysis and deep dives into the nuances of fantasy sports, PTJ offers insightful fantasy basketball advice, scorching takes and comprehensive projections. Known for their relatable chemistry and a commitment to fresh perspectives, PTJ appeals to sports fans, fantasy league enthusiasts, athletes and analysts alike who value authenticity and a touch of nostalgia.
The Scope
We worked with Projecting The Jump to craft a distinctive brand identity that reflects their passion for NBA fantasy basketball and their Pacific Northwest roots. As a podcast “for the people,” PTJ needed a visual identity that resonated with their growing audience while honoring the game’s rich history. Brand Identity Design, Visual Strategy, Style Guide Creation.
The Approach
Our approach was to capture Projecting The Jump’s unique blend of humor, sharp analysis and Pacific Northwest charm and design a brand identity that bridged retro basketball aesthetics with modern, playful elements.
The Work
The foundation of the design began with an in-depth understanding of PTJ’s content, tone and audience. Drawing from their roots in Salem, Oregon and Olympia, Washington, we incorporated textures and colors inspired by local landscapes along with classic basketball elements like worn cognac leather basketballs and retro hard maple wooden court flooring. Their humorous and insightful crosstalk inspired pops of playful and bold designs to keep the visuals energetic and engaging.
The Brand
Projecting The Jump’s brand identity is rooted in the rugged, outdoorsy charm of the Pacific Northwest and the timeless allure of basketball. The visual elements fuse retro and modern aesthetics to reflect the podcasters’ playful yet knowledgeable approach. This blend creates a warm, approachable brand that resonates with listeners while honoring the legacy of basketball.
