The Client
The Eola-Amity Hills Winegrowers Association (EAHWA) is a collective of winegrowers, winemakers, vineyards and supporting businesses committed to promoting the Eola-Amity Hills American Viticulture Area (AVA). Located in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, this community is known for producing exceptional wines and is dedicated to preserving the land, elevating its reputation and fostering collaboration among its members.
The Scope
Good Spirits Studio was contracted to provide marketing direction, strategy and execution for the EAHWA. Our scope included:
Website content and design updates
Email and social media marketing
Internal member and board communications
Marketing strategy and consulting
Development of a comprehensive marketing plan and Travel Oregon grant proposal
This work required collaboration with the Executive Director, the Board of Directors, and membership committees to align goals and ensure marketing efforts supported both the AVA and its member businesses.
The Approach
Our approach began with building a refreshed foundation for the association’s marketing after years of uncertainty during the COVID-19 pandemic and leadership transitions. We built a sustainable marketing framework that the EAHWA could use long-term, while also elevating their short-term visibility. By blending strategic planning with hands-on execution, Good Spirits Studio helped define the AVA’s identity, streamline communications, and create new opportunities for outreach and tourism.
The Work
Highlights of our collaboration with the Eola-Amity Hills Winegrowers Association include:
Grant Success | Led the concept, writing and execution of a successful Travel Oregon Wine Country License Plate Grant proposal – securing funds for a large-scale digital campaign, website rebuild, and new photo/video assets.
Visual Storytelling | Directed and executed multiple vineyard and hospitality photo and video shoots, building a robust library of high-quality assets.
Website Evolution | Planned new website features to shift from a basic member directory into a full visitor-facing platform with itineraries, events, blogs and media resources.
Tourism Initiatives | Designed the Wander Wine Tour Passport, a concept to feature member businesses (wineries, vineyards, restaurants, hotels, B&Bs) and incentivize exploration of the region. While not immediately adopted, the strategy has proven successful in other AVAs.
Member Storytelling | Built a member submission portal on the EAHWA website where wineries and associate members could share their stories, images and updates – making it easier for the AVA to promote authentic stories directly to consumers.
The Impact
Together with the association, we created more than a marketing plan – we built momentum. With a clear strategy, robust content and grant funding secured, the Eola-Amity Hills Winegrowers Association now has the tools and resources to increase regional visibility, attract tourism, and amplify the voices of its member businesses.
